In today’s American culture it seems all too often we aren’t happy with our president or the decisions the government makes. We worry about health care, war on ISIS, and the economy. We criticize the president and congress on their views on guns, violence, and abortion. Yet most people don’t have the persistence of going out and voting for someone better. We don’t support the good candidates when we can, yet we complain about the way our country is, or how the presidential race doesn't have the right candidate for you. It’s time to wake up America, your vote counts!
Every day we get up, we watch the news, and we constantly get scared of our global environment. We take our lunch break and we carry on about how Obama doesn't know how to lead our country. Congress doesn't know how to lead our country. The Supreme Court doesn't make the right decisions. How did they get into office? Surely, we have the freedom to vote. So, isn't our fault that our leadership is way off in this country? Immoral, unjustly, and plain dumb, we are the ones who don’t get off the couch and vote. We’d rather stay there and watch the polls come in. We don’t understand this and it needs to stop if we are going to move back to our former greatness as world leader. Right now we waning and dropping in the polls fast, just like our probable good leaders do.
However, we have bright future. There is still hope alive in the beautiful democratic system that we invest our lives in. This upcoming generation is sure to vote on important matters of course. For some reason, it seems the youngest of the current generations cares more about their future than those older. It is almost time for the next line to step up and become leaders in the global community and for America to make a comeback. This will only happen if we all come together and make a national effort to vote. As we all know, Early Voting is almost here for midterms and it’s time to make a record-setting vote and get everyone to the polls.
Now, I challenge you the community, the nation to vote. Go out and voice your god-given opinion. You have a privilege that many others will never taste. Your vote counts. Everyone’s vote counts. It’s time to wake up America. It’s time to wake up and smell victory. To break through the barriers of cultural indifference and barriers that is setting America back. So, go and vote every time you get the chance to, it’s time.
